About Us
About STAR Cancer Care
STAR Cancer Care was founded to improve access to high-quality, personalized prostate diagnosis and care in a modern private clinic setting.
Who We Are
Personalized, expert care — right here in Toronto
STAR Cancer Care is a Toronto-based private clinic founded by Dr. Andrew Loblaw and Dr. Roger Buckley to improve access to high-quality, personalized prostate diagnosis and care.
Our clinic is built around the belief that patients deserve specialist-led care delivered with clarity, compassion, and attention to individual needs. We aim to provide a refined care experience that is both evidence-based and deeply patient-focused.
Our Mission
A thoughtful, specialist-led approach to care
We focus on helping patients navigate diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment planning with confidence. Our approach emphasizes personalized care, advanced diagnostic tools, and minimally invasive options where appropriate.
At every stage, we aim to communicate clearly, act thoughtfully, and support patients with the respect and reassurance they deserve.
CPSO-Approved
Certified Out‑of‑Hospital Premises (OHP) Procedures
STAR Cancer Care has been approved to perform all currently offered procedures at a College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)‑certified Out‑of‑Hospital Premises (OHP Level 3).
CPSO approval confirms that STAR Cancer Care OHP procedures meet the rigorous provincial standards for patient safety, clinical governance, infection prevention and control, anesthesia services, equipment, staffing, and emergency preparedness.
What This Means for Patients
For patients, this means specialized cancer‑related procedures can be safely delivered in a modern, clinic‑based environment while meeting the same regulatory standards required in highly controlled healthcare settings.
This approval reflects STAR Cancer Care’s commitment to high‑quality, evidence‑based, and patient‑centred care delivered by appropriately trained physicians and healthcare professionals.
